Waiting to Exhale in Concert

Waiting to Exhale in Concert celebrates the music, friendship and emotion of the landmark film through an evening of unforgettable songs performed live by an all-star lineup of vocalists, Avery*Sunshine, Alexia Jayy, and Melanie Fiona, and joined by an exceptional live band led by acclaimed music director, producer and musician Adam Blackstone, whose credits span some of the biggest names and stages in music. Featuring music from one of the most celebrated soundtracks of the 1990s, the concert includes songs made famous by Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, Brandy, Mary J. Blige, Chaka Khan, and more, including favorites such as "Exhale (Shoop Shoop)," "Sittin' Up In My Room", and "Count On Me." 30 years after its release, Waiting to Exhale remains a cultural touchstone with a soundtrack that resonates across generations. This special concert event brings that music back to the stage for a night celebrating love, heartbreak, friendship, resilience and the songs that defined an era. Guests under the age of 6 are not allowed at this DPAC performance. All guests require a ticket, regardless of age.
