The project is dedicated to the work of Oleg Lang - one of the most original masters of Russian painting from the late 20th to the early 21st century. The exhibition reveals the late period of his career when the artist achieved maximum expressiveness and philosophical depth in his work with color, form, and space. Oleg Lang (1950-2013) is a figure whose work has become an integral part of the history of Russian art. His painting combines expression and irony, personal experience and response to the cultural and social events of the era. In his paintings, myth and documentary coexist, as do the everyday and the metaphysical, and the energy of the brushstroke transforms into reflections on human existence. The exhibition features works from the 2000s and 2010s - a time when the artist finally formed his language. He combined concise color fields with subtle graphic elements, constructing space as a system of signs and associations. Lang was able to turn simple compositional solutions into powerful symbols, making his painting both direct and multilayered.
