The literary-documentary exhibition tells about Belarusian authors whose fates were connected to the war. Poems, books, photographs, and archival materials help to see the era through the writers. At the heart of the project is the memory of the poets and prose writers of Belarus who went through the years of the Great Patriotic War. Some went to the front with weapons in hand, others found themselves in occupied territory, some were evacuated far from home, but each of them continued to resist - through lines, newspaper publications, participation in the underground or partisan movement. The texts of Zmitrok Astapenko, Anatoly Velyugin, Zinaida Bondarina, Nikolai Surnachev, and others become not a monument from a textbook, but a testament to inner strength, pain, and responsibility. A separate layer is dedicated to front-line and underground press. The wartime newspapers were a way to maintain communication, convey news, boost morale, and document events almost immediately, in the heat of the moment.
