His relationship with music began in his family’s church and has evolved into a singular career spanning clubs, stages, classrooms, and cultural institutions worldwide.</p><p dir="ltr">Founder of Jump-N-Funk, North America’s original Fela Kuti tribute, Medina helped establish a blueprint for the global embrace of Afrobeat. His legendary Lil Ricky’s Rib Shack and HOME residencies have become touchstones of New York club culture.
