The Moroccan Lounge Presents: Super Cassette: Planned Obsolescence Tour 2026 [November 5, 2026 / / Doors 6:30pm / $15 adv / $18 dos / All Ages] Before their viral queer-joy anthem ?Be Gay, Do Drugs, Hail Satan? launched them into the public eye, or their indie bop ?Sober? made waves on Latin American YouTube, Oakland?s Super Cassette began as the modest bedroom project of frontperson Max Gerlock (they/them). After teaming up with bassist Devin Hollister and, later, drummer Ramon Esquivel (who joined after taking a chance on a flyer), the trio evolved into a tightly-wound power-pop band known for inventive chord progressions, bittersweet lyrics, and a high-energy, uplifting live show featuring the impressive musicianship of each member. Super Cassette has toured extensively across the U.S. (most recently with Moon Walker) and is in the process of recording their second album, which promises to mix the trio's dynamic live performances with Max?s meticulously-layered production.
