About

A story about memory, growing up, and the attempt to understand a loved one. The focus is on the fragile boundary between fantasy and reality. The play, based on a script by contemporary playwright Keren Klimovski, was directed by Nadia Kubailat. One of the characters reveals a secret to his young son: he, his dad, is the very Peter Pan - the eternal boy who can fly. That’s why the father often disappears, is late, or forgets things. The story unfolds as an attempt to separate fantasy from reality and understand what was hidden behind the fairy-tale image: freedom or escape, flight or fall. The staging solution is built on expressive color: the space, objects, and costumes are painted in rich yellow. The entrance to the world of memories is marked by a single bright blue elevator leading to a hidden room. The image of Captain Hook emerges as a shadow and opposite of the hero - in strict red, associated with childhood fears. The theater poster for Moscow is available on KUDAGO.
