On October 24, KARREE welcomes SONA - a artist whose story is deeply connected to one of the most influential names in contemporary electronic music, while at the same time representing a generation determined to create its own sound, identity and path. Born Esona Maphumulo, SONA grew up surrounded by music and culture. His father, South African global superstar Black Coffee, needs little introduction. From the early days of his career in South Africa to becoming a Grammy Award-winning artist and one of the most internationally recognised figures in electronic music, Black Coffee has built a legacy that reaches far beyond the dancefloor. For SONA, this legacy was not something he discovered later in life. It was his everyday reality. Music was present from an early age - in the studio, on the road, backstage and in the atmosphere of some of the world's most important clubs and festivals. Growing up in this environment gave SONA an unusual perspective on the world of electronic music and on what it means to dedicate your life to sound. But being the son of one of the world's most recognisable DJs comes with its own challenge. From the beginning, SONA has had to find the balance between his family name and his own artistic identity. Rather than simply following the path already created for him, he has chosen to build his own. That search for individuality is at the heart of SONA's musical journey. His sound moves through Afro House, Deep House and contemporary electronic music, combining rhythmic influences from his South African roots with a modern, international approach to production and DJing. His sets are driven by groove and atmosphere, but leave enough room for experimentation and unexpected turns. SONA's development as a producer has also taken him far beyond the traditional boundaries of the DJ booth. One of the milestones of his career came with his involvement in D
