That nomadic upbringing shaped her dynamic approach to music and storytelling. Now based in Los Angeles, Samara wrote her first song in 2019 as a therapeutic outlet, and it quickly became a full-fledged passion and purpose. As her pen sharpened and her sound came into focus, she built steady momentum across streaming platforms, amassing over 90 million global streams to date.

Samara's blend of razor-sharp lyricism and captivating melodies has earned her co-signs from Tyler, The Creator, SZA, J. Cole, Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Doechii, Nas, Doja Cat, Rapsody, Alicia Keys, Isaiah Rashad, and Teddy Swims. Her reach has extended well beyond music: Denzel Washington named her "Brand New Teeth" collaboration with Smino among his favorite current songs on Good Morning America.
