RATTLESKIN is a new ballet set to electronic music about desire, happiness and the endless promise of becoming a better version of ourselves. In a culture increasingly shaped by self-optimization, the work explores our desire to change, improve and become, and the expectations we place on ourselves along the way. The piece asks what happens to love, desire and intimacy when our inner lives become an ongoing project of reflection and transformation. Conceived as a fully immersive experience, spatialized video installations and a new media work extend throughout the entire 2000m² space, forming a unified environment through which the audience moves and in which choreography, image and architecture unfold together. The Performances Ballet Sur_real, is the official ballet ensemble of DANCÆ, fuses classical ballet with electronic music, integrating immersive installations and innovative technologies into its choreographic language.
