The London Roots Festival Presents MICHAEL WESTON KING & LOU DALGLEISH - "MY DARLING CLEMENTINE - TOGETHER APART" Michael Weston King & Lou Dalgleish close out the year with a special show on Tuesday 1st December at The Water Rats as part of the London Roots Festival. As My Darling Clementine they are known for their signature blend of classic country duets, richly drawn storytelling, and beautifully observed songs of love, loss and longing but this new date offers something different. They will play 2 x one hour sets; The first a deep dive into the back catalogue, featuring My Darling Clementine classics, fan favourites, and some lesser heard album cuts. The second set will shine a spotlight on their individual voices. With both releasing solo albums this year, Lou and Michael will present a number of these new songs, accompanied by a full band.* Michael's album "Nothing Can Hurt Me Anymore" released in April, has received 5 star universal praise, and is being widely regarded as his finest ever work. Both these solo albums have been born out of personal tragedy and grief, having lost their Grandaughter Bebe in the Southport attacks, and as a way to process an unimaginable loss. Their ability to move seamlessly from heartbreak to hope, from sharp storytelling to lush harmony, makes every performance feel like a conversation set to music.
