Writers and artists associated with this movement focused their attention on the inner world of man. Their works narrated the life of the soul, the conflict between feeling and duty. Among the most famous French sentimentalist painters are Jean-Baptiste Greuze, Jean-Baptiste-Siméon Chardin, and Jean-Honoré Fragonard, and among the Russians is Vladimir Borovikovsky. The lecture will be conducted by Irina Grigoryan.
