The sound of the organ and more - the concert "Music by Candlelight. The Greatest Classics" will offer the St. Petersburg audience a romantic evening in the atmosphere of timeless classics. The organ is designed for performing majestic spiritual music, yet it can also sound both profound and intimate. Especially when it fills the space of the atmospheric and beautiful concert hall of the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul. Since 2017, the musicians from "Amadeus" have been organizing unique concerts where professional musicians perform masterpieces of classical music in the light of hundreds of candles. The program of "Music by Candlelight" will include not only organ pieces but also surprises featuring other instruments. For example, a piano, harpsichord, flute, or violin may be heard. And, of course, traditionally, the hall "Petrikirche" will be decorated with hundreds of candles, adding a special charm to the evening. The performers are leading musicians from St. Petersburg, laureates of international competitions, soloists, and guest musicians from the Mariinsky Theatre and the St. Petersburg Philharmonic. Duration of the concert: 1 hour without intermission. Photo: provided by the organizer.
