A concert in an unusual format of a musical duel, which will serve as convincing proof that organ music cannot be boring. An organ concert does not have to be serious at all. The team "Amadeus" will take it upon themselves to prove this statement in practice, nurturing European traditions of musical duels in Russia. For our country, the presence of two organs in one cathedral is a fantastic rarity, and Petrikirche is one of the few churches that allows for a concert in a duel format. Two organists will take turns performing immortal works created by the greatest composers from different countries and eras. The musicians will demonstrate all their skill and make every effort to surprise the audience with the richness of the instruments' sound and unusual playing techniques on the organ. Three organs will be featured in the concert. Willi Peter is the largest church organ in St. Petersburg, with 43 registers and numerous pipes. There will also be an opportunity to hear the small Steinmann organ, consisting of ten registers. The performers are leading musicians from St. Petersburg, laureates of international competitions, soloists, and guest musicians from the Mariinsky Theatre and the St. Petersburg Philharmonic. Duration of the concert: 1 hour (without intermission).
