A literary film cycle for schoolchildren gathers adaptations of books from the school reading circle on the big screen - from Lindgren's and Bazhov's fairy tales to Stevenson’s adventures, Sholokhov's prose, and Green's romance. The film cycle helps to see familiar plots from a different angle: to compare the literary source with the director's decision, to notice how characters change on screen, and to feel why classic texts continue to resonate with readers. The program includes five screenings in June. Audiences will see the fairy tale "Mio, My Mio" by Astrid Lindgren, "The Stone Flower" based on the Ural tales of Alexander Bazhov, the adventure "Treasure Island" based on the novel by Robert Louis Stevenson, the drama "The Fate of a Man" based on the story by Mikhail Sholokhov, and the romantic fantasy "Running on the Waves" by Alexander Green.
