As a side person, he’s worked with Fred Hersch’s trio, Melissa Aldana, Seamus Blake/Chris Cheek’s Reed’s Ramble, Marc Copland, Nils Wogram’s Root 70, and more, performing on major stages worldwide-including his favourite, the Village Vanguard. The Band is releasing its debut album “How to Survive a Beheading” - Jochen’s 7th jazz album as a band leader - on November 27, 2026
