Händels Messias in Oslo Cathedral

George Frideric Handel's Messiah is, for many, an essential part of Christmas. When Oslo Cathedral presents the work with its own church music forces, it becomes both grand and delightful! The work Messiah can almost be described as a baroque "hit-parade". Joining us are Barokkanerne and a group of top international soloists. On the first weekend of Advent, there will be plenty of festive pre-Christmas atmosphere---a perfect start to the Advent season and the concert period leading up to Christmas. Accessibility: Dedicated wheelchair spaces can be purchased in the south nave. Here you can choose whether you are accompanied by a companion or not. Companions are admitted free of charge upon presentation of a companion certificate. The companion will be seated directly behind the wheelchair space. Oslo Cathedral has both a ramp and a lift to ensure step-free access. Please arrive at the main entrance, where our staff will guide you to the wheelchair entrance. A wheelchair-accessible restroom is available near the main entrance.
