It seems unlikely that anyone who has been making music for this long would create two of their best works for their eleventh & twelfth albums, in their 35th year as a band no less. And yet ‘Love Is Not Enough’ and ‘Hum of The Hurt’ might be the apotheosis of Converge’s decades-long journey through the punk, hardcore and metal microcosm. In what is already such a monumental year for the band, we are honoured to have them headline Electric Bristol this November, for their first ever stand-alone headline show in the city. Joining them is a jaw-dropping bill of some of modern metal’s freshest and most blistering sounds in death metallers, Sanguisugabogg, atmospheric black metal project, Blackbraid and British mathcore crew, Pupil Slicer.
