His name does not always come up alongside Monk, Davis, or Coltrane, but it was Peterson who became the voice of jazz that maintains a connection to tradition while also speaking a universal musical language. The lecture will allow a new perspective on the figure of the artist, who was called a technical genius, despite not being a participant in jazz revolutions.
