About

In Japanese fairy tales, miracles come to those who are honest and care for others. The story of winter strawberries will serve as a reason to talk to children about how a kind heart and willingness to help are more important than brute strength and stubbornness. The class is designed for children aged six to eight. The kids will read the fairy tale together with the teacher, and then the teacher will help translate the fairy-tale images into the language of everyday life: what it means to be hardworking today, what help looks like in the family or at school, why good deeds are not always rewarded immediately, but are still important. The class is based on the method of theatrical improvisation and socio-playful learning. The children will take on the roles of fairy tale characters, perform short scenes and dialogues. In the final part, the kids will draw pictures inspired by the story they heard. The finished works can be taken home to continue the discussion with their parents. The class will be conducted by Svetlana Kazakova, a specialist at RGBM working with children. Where to go in Moscow on weekends, our website will suggest.
