Children will get to know the fast and cunning hero of the myths, Hermes, through reading, comics, theatrical sketches, and play. In this developmental class, children will learn about Hermes - the fast, agile, and resourceful ancient Greek god, who was considered the patron of travelers and merchants. Together with the teacher Svetlana Kazakova, the kids will read excerpts from Nikolai Kuna's book and refer to the fun comic "Mythyata." First, the children will get acquainted with the plot and character, and then they will try to convey what they heard through action. The theatrical improvisation helps to bring the myth closer: the child does not memorize a retelling but tries to understand the hero through gesture, intonation, and facial expressions. At the end, participants will make a craft as a keepsake. The class is designed for children aged 6 to 8.
