In a collective project, viewers are invited to look at modernity through tondo (which translates to "circle") - a form that transforms into both a porthole and a target for meanings. The curators gather different artistic languages in one space to show how the signs of the era grow in painting and objects. The circle here becomes the main character - through it, artists gaze into today’s reality. The tondo transforms into a symbol of the sky, infinity, and at the same time into a "frame" where each author captures their own fragment of the world. Lines, colors, and silhouettes must conform to the curved shape, so any shift is immediately perceived as a glitch or an accent. The exhibition speaks about life in the mode of infodemic, when news, memes, and visual images layer over each other. Artists suggest not to float along this stream, but to break it down into codes and symbols, to seek hidden meanings in ornaments, fashion, everyday details, and digital interfaces. Signs cease to be just road signs or emojis - they become the language through which the era communicates with a person. Some works refer to philosophy and literature, while others explore social and technological shifts - from total digitalization to new forms of communication. The attentive viewer reads in the tondo smartphones, silhouettes of the metropolis, echoes of social networks, and abstract "noises" of the information field. Through these images, the anxieties and hopes of our time, its conflicts and borderline states manifest. The project does not promise a ready-made dictionary for decoding reality. Rather, it is an invitation to train one’s own critical thinking and to see around oneself not a chaos of signals, but a complex text in which one can discern their reflection.
