About

Photographer and curator Tatyana Yergunova explores how natural cycles dissolve in time and space. She combines analog photographs and archival images, creating a visual puzzle where the past, present, and future merge into a continuous process of observation. Tatyana Yergunova's project is a year-long observation of the Kislovodsk Resort Park, located near the artist's home. It is not just a series of landscapes - it is a reflection on how the seasons intertwine, transitioning into one another as seamlessly as the turn of a park path. Through photographic exploration, the artist aims to capture how space refracts through the prism of time and personal perception. The main artistic technique is the mixing of analog shots and archival images. The viewer gets lost in temporal layers: where is the old, where is the new, where is the memory, and where is the moment captured? Slides, reproductions, and printed photographs are intentionally mixed to erase the boundaries between then and now. Time becomes not a point of reference, but a material for visual contemplation. The choice of technique holds special significance: analog photography implies a pause, an expectation, a space for what is left unsaid. When the frame is not visible immediately, intuition, chance, and the effect of time come into play. The project employs double exposures, paired shots, and visual constructs, like bridges between days, seasons, and eras. The concluding emphasis is a tree trunk from which a five-part composition grows. It is not limited by the number of seasons but symbolizes the cyclicality and openness of observation. This project is not finished - it continues as long as the gaze continues. Find other events in Moscow on KudaGo.
