Nikita Evgan transforms the story of a long journey through Georgia into a series of images featuring people, dogs, food, and the feeling of a road that has no destination. At the heart of the project is the artist's experience, who came to Georgia for a short time but ended up staying for years. This delay became the material for painting: instead of a dry travel diary, a free chronicle of impressions emerges before the viewer, where real encounters easily blend with memory, imagination, and dreams. Nikita Evgan paints people he might have seen on the streets, heard about in stories, or imagined after a conversation. His characters can be friendly, cautious, big, small, funny, and a bit mysterious. Georgian dogs, food, and moments of uncertainty hold a special place: someone has not yet arrived, someone has already left, and the event seems to hang in the air. The artist does not strive for an exact capture of what he saw; it is more important for him to catch the mood and intonation.
