The project by artist Alina Khatko tells about her impressions from travels and the work of memory. The exhibition connects different cultures through visual images and an authorial technique. Alina Khatko's exhibition combines painting and graphics created after trips to the countries of the Middle East and Central Asia. The focus is on the dialogue between two series. One is related to a trip to Iran, while the other emerged during an artistic residency in Uzbekistan. It is in their comparison that the author's perspective is particularly clear: she does not strive for documentality but translates what she has seen into an imagery system where mood, texture, and associative depth are important. The artist addresses the theme of the inner "city" of memory that arises after contact with new landscapes, architecture, ornaments, and rhythms of life. A special role is played by the technique that combines tempera on textiles, lace, and transparent fabrics. As a result, the works acquire multilayeredness and a unique rhythm of imagery.
