The project is dedicated to the era when aviation in the USSR became a symbol of technical breakthrough and personal heroism. Through archival sources and visual materials, the path of the industry is revealed - from the post-war recovery of the 1920s to the onset of the jet age. When the country was just beginning to build aircraft factories and create the first design bureaus, flight was perceived as proof that the future had already arrived. In the 1920s, the airplane became the embodiment of a new reality, and the profession of a pilot became a sign of ultimate responsibility and courage. The exhibition considers this period as the starting point for a large-scale transformation that changed both industry and public consciousness. The first section covers the decades between the Civil War and 1941. Archival documents and rare photographs show the formation of military and civil aviation, the work of the Mikhail Gromov Flight Research Institute, the emergence of design teams, and the development of the production base during the first five-year plans. Special attention is given to materials about long non-stop flights from the USSR to the USA and the exploration of northern routes. The period of the Great Patriotic War is presented through the industrial and human scale of events. It discusses the evacuation of enterprises to the rear, the introduction of new technological solutions in aircraft construction, and the participation of aviation in key battles - from the defense of Moscow to the Berlin operation. The documents allow us to see how technology and strategy became part of the overall struggle. The final part is dedicated to the transition from piston engines to jet aircraft. This stage became the starting point for a new chapter in civil aviation and marked a shift in the technological paradigm that defined the further development of the industry.
