The subject of this large-scale exhibition is a genuine 18th-century Zamoskvorechye estate. The exhibition takes the form of a total installation, featuring works by contemporary artists and historical artifacts. The exhibition explores a unique object of Moscow architecture - an intimate estate on 1st Kazachy Lane. The building, erected in the late 18th century, concealed luxurious interiors behind its modest facades. In 1812, the estate partially burned down, but was restored two years later with its original layout. In the early 20th century, the house was occupied by Zelik Persitz, the owner of oil and chemical enterprises, who again renovated the interior space of the building. The history of the estate reflects changes in society. "Noble nests" transitioned to merchant and bourgeois classes, which played a crucial role in the life of Moscow in the second half of the 19th century. The city's life was vibrant, and against this backdrop, the domestic world and the sanctity of private life became especially valued. Visitors to the exhibition "Everything on Display?" will immerse themselves in the family atmosphere of the old estate. A guide will lead guests through the intimate space filled with real artifacts, mystification objects, and works by contemporary artists. Together, they reflect the fate of the house, reminiscent of the sometimes astonishing biographies of Moscow merchants, among whom were scholars, collectors of books and art objects, and patrons. The exhibition features works by Irina Korina, Olga Bozhko, Pyotr Bely, Valery Grikovsky, Nina Kotyol, Sergey and Tatiana Kostrikov, Leonid Tishkov, Olga Florenskaya, the group "MishMash," and many others. Additionally, visitors will see works by Boris Kustodiev and real items from the estate's owners. The exhibition is held with the support of MR Private - a division of elite real estate of the development company MR. The project organizer is the creative bureau "Shirota." Curators are Irina Gorlova and Maria Salina. Registration is required to visit the exhibition. Details can be found on the official website. Photo: provided by the organizer.
