The paintings of Mu Ke are a way to reflect on time, space, and cultural memory. The exhibition establishes a dialogue between Eastern philosophy and European artistic tradition. The project is dedicated to the work of Chinese artist Mu Ke and his search for a personal language at the intersection of two cultures. Having received an academic education in China and continuing his studies at the Surikov Art Institute, the author developed a method based on contemplation, attention to color and form. In his works, the philosophy of Eastern balance merges with the principles of European composition, creating a holistic and balanced system. Mu Ke's canvases combine recognizable natural motifs and non-figurative images. Here, the landscape transforms into a space for meditation, where nature is not an object of depiction but a means of understanding the inner state of a person. The artist explores rhythm, color, and their emotional impact, striving to convey the flow of time and the hidden dynamics of the world. The exhibition is complemented by works from artists of the International Art Institute at Harbin Pedagogical University, which Mu Ke leads. Their works showcase the diversity of contemporary Chinese art directions and the development of traditional painting principles in a contemporary context. The show concludes with works from the collection of the MMOMA, entering into a subtle visual and semantic dialogue with Chinese authors and highlighting the intersection of two artistic systems.
