The main theme of the project is the workshop as an environment where the artist's perspective is formed. Details are important here: what the master used, how he prepared for work, what traces the search process left. The exhibition draws attention to the everyday mechanics of art - focus, repetition, corrections, sudden decisions. At the core of the display are materials from the "Manezh" funds. Among them are items related to 20th-century artists, with a special place occupied by the collection of Dmitry Arkadyevich Nalbandyan, a master of portraiture, People's Artist of the USSR, and Hero of Socialist Labor.
