An artist who studied philosophy, worked for a newspaper, and made films - and then created her own world populated by angels and fantastical creatures. At this exhibition, you can see the paintings of Tatiana Lyarskaya from the private collection of collector Rustem Abyazov. Lyarskaya is a Kazan artist with a biography that itself resembles a plot: a history and philosophy faculty, journalism, advertising, and since 2007 - working as a set designer in film. For her, painting is something more personal. Her works are exhibited in museums in Kazan and private collections from Paris to Riyadh, and she has been included in the encyclopedia of naive art. On the canvases are angels, fantastic animals, images that easily convey something childlike yet serious. More than two thousand works in painting, graphics, photography, and sculpture - and this exhibition provides an opportunity to see part of this world in person, in one space.
