The personal exhibition of Andrey and Marina Boris gathers paintings at the intersection of fantasy and symbolism. In their works, fairy-tale images become a language of metaphors, and details lead to the unraveling of the inner plot. The heroes of Andrey and Marina Boris exist on the border of fairy tale, parable, and personal experience: at the exhibition, one can encounter strange beings, mysterious signs, shimmering textures, and images that conceal feelings, memories, and hints at human choice. The authors turn to fantasy and symbolism but do not drift into decorativeness. The paintings are structured so that the viewer lingers on the details: examining the gestures of the characters, color accents, unexpected objects, and the play of light and material. The technique plays an important role-tempera, oil, layered painting, work with brush and palette knife, as well as the inclusion of leaf copper and gold. Thanks to this, the surface of the canvases becomes part of the narrative: it shimmers, changes depth, and suggests new meanings. Ideas on where to go in Moscow are collected on KUDAGO.
