The presented works show how fragile glass has become a full-fledged sculptural material. The exhibition brings together works by domestic masters created from the mid-20th century to the present day. About sixty works created by domestic authors in different decades are displayed in the halls. The exhibition traces the development of glass sculpture art - from the works of Vera Mukhina to those of contemporary masters exploring new forms, volumes, and methods of artistic expression. Among them are Yulia Merzlikina, Igor Tomsky, Elena Dubskaya, Olga Kirichek, Alexander Gordin, Andrey Krivolapov. The dialogue is supported by St. Petersburg sculptors - Lev Smorgon, Sergey Borisov, Konstantin Simun, Dmitry Kaminker. The exhibition includes both realistic works from the mid-20th century and complex spatial compositions from recent years. Sculptors and glass artists reveal the possibilities of the material in different ways, combining transparency, color, light, and plastic expressiveness.
