Watercolor as a "state of the soul" - this is how Andrey Rodionov explains his ala prima technique, where speed, nerve, and precision of gaze are important. The author of the works presented at the exhibition is Andrey Egorovich Rodionov, a Moscow watercolorist and educator with over 30 years of experience. He graduated from the Stroganov School, progressed from a ceramics restorer to a professor of academic drawing and graphics, and also developed his own teaching methodology, which he applies with students of various ages. This experience is felt in the works: they are precise in composition and very alive in intonation. The halls feature landscapes created during trips across Russia, Belarus, Montenegro, and Italy. These are views of cities and villages, nature, water, sky - motifs where "the truth of vision" is important: how tone changes, how air dissolves contours, how paper retains the transparency of the layer.
