About

In the "Hazina" gallery, a biographical route has been constructed tracing the life of the Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukay - from orphanhood and madrasah to his final years when he wrote poetry while seriously ill. Tukay lived less than twenty-seven years but managed to become the founder of the modern Tatar literary language. The exhibition tells this story through four themes: early years and spiritual development, educational work with the language, a circle of friends and colleagues from the "Sayar" theater troupe, and separately - five meetings with Zaytuna that inspired the poet during his illness. The exhibition combines books, documents, and visual art - all accompanied by a live voice: the poet's works are performed in Tatar by Rezeda Salikhova from the Tatar Theater of Drama and Comedy. The multimedia environment here works to immerse the audience: sound, image, and space come together to create a unified atmosphere from a century ago. Where to go in Kazan, KudaGo knows.
