Fedor Telkov, who has worked for many years on themes of industrial heritage, closed communities, indigenous peoples, and cultural memory, turns to the works of Pavel Bazhov and seeks the living tension between humans, nature, and the industrial environment. In Telkov's photographs, the Urals appear fragile and animated: fog, coal dust, and dim light create a sense of a world where the rational coexists with myth. The characters seem to emerge from a child's imagination - with coal-like eyes, straw mustaches, and horns above their coats.
