About

The project by Kolya Sadovnik invites the viewer into a space where antiquity and modernity, poetry and matter intertwine into a single myth. The artist's sculptures resemble fragments of vanished civilizations - and at the same time resonate as living testimonies of inner experience. Kolya Sadovnik is an artist working at the intersection of painting, sculpture, and philosophical expression. A graduate of the Rodchenko School, a musician, and an engineer by first education, he creates works that combine technique, text, and sacred meaning. His artistic language is born from the collision of the rational and the metaphysical, where form becomes a way to preserve memory. In the new series, the artist addresses the theme of destruction and rebirth. The sculptures appear as artifacts from an unknown future - traces of a world that has survived a catastrophe. The surface of the stone is etched with lines from Russian poets, from Vladimir Burich to Vyacheslav Kupriyanov, Lesha Katz, and Alexander Nektov. These phrases sound like echoes, transforming into ritual formulas inscribed into the flesh of matter. The titles of the works, consisting of dry inventory codes, remind us of the desire to organize chaos, but through the cold rationalism, life and poetic feeling break through. "Garden-1630" becomes both a catalog and an incantation, as well as a personal archive of memory - a unique monument of word and time. Venue - Vladey space at Vinzavod.
