The exhibition addresses the history of the Romanovs through their personal interests and family life. This approach allows us to see how individual choices shaped the cultural landscape of the era. The project became the first joint work of two museum-reserves - "Kolomenskoye" and "Peterhof" - and included about eight hundred items related to the private lives of the members of the imperial dynasty. The focus is not on official rituals and ceremonial images, but on the interests, habits, and hobbies of the Romanovs that defined the cultural and domestic orientations of the time. The exhibition structure includes seven sections, each demonstrating how the personal preferences of the monarchs reflected in the development of art, crafts, gastronomy, sports, and trade. The presented artifacts allow us to see how private passions - from shipbuilding and medicine to porcelain and artistic practices - became an impetus for the development of entire industries.
