This exhibition shows how the portrait continues to live in various artistic manners and author biographies. In one space, the works of two artists come together, for whom attention to the person and the character of the image becomes the main subject of conversation. At the center of the exhibition is a dialogue between two artists from different generations who have taken different creative paths but are equally focused on the genre of portraiture. The works of Anna Blokhina and Natalia Milashevich allow us to see how differently the human image can resonate in today's art - through intonation, composition, texture, and internal coherence. One of the participants graduated from the Saint Petersburg State Academy of Art and Design named after Ilya Repin and has already made her way into private collections in Russia and beyond. The other has traveled from an art school in Dushanbe to the academic institute of painting, sculpture, and architecture named after I. E. Repin, became a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, was a finalist in an international portrait competition, and participated in more than thirty exhibitions in various countries. Together, these biographies form a conversation about the continuity of the school, the precision of vision, and the ability of the portrait to maintain the living presence of the person. Here, not only external resemblance and execution skills are important, but also the attempt to capture the character, state, and inner energy of the model. That is why the appeal to this genre is perceived as relevant and open to new interpretations. We share how to organize leisure in St. Petersburg.
