The project reveals the scale and significance of one of the boldest scientific and cultural journeys of the 20th century. The exhibition combines documents, paintings, and philosophical works, allowing one to trace the path of knowledge and cultural dialogue. The third part of the exhibition cycle of the Museum-Institute of the Roerichs is dedicated to the Central Asian Expedition of 1923-1928 and continues the story of the movement along the Indian route to the very "Heart of Asia." The journey of the Roerich family became a global event: scientists, politicians, and journalists from various countries followed it. The routes passed through hard-to-reach and little-studied territories, and the results of the expedition significantly expanded the understanding of the geography, culture, and history of the region. During the journey, hundreds of paintings and graphic works were created, diaries, scientific observations, antiquities, written and visual monuments were collected, and books were published. The exhibition features research works by Yuri Roerich, translations and philosophical texts by Helena and Nikolai Roerich, photographs, archival documents, and samples of decorative applied art.
