About

The exhibition reveals the genre and thematic richness of the collection of the Tropinin Museum, which includes paintings, graphics, furniture, porcelain, glass, and interior items from the 18th to the 20th centuries. The exhibition will change over eight months. More than 500 works from the collection of the Tropinin Museum are displayed in the halls: paintings, graphics, furniture, tableware, and decorative applied art items. Visitors will see canvases by masters from the late 18th to the 20th centuries - Vasily Polenov, Isaac Levitan, Orest Kiprensky, Pavel Fedotov, Boris Kustodiev, and others. The project is conceived as a transformer exhibition. Over the course of eight months, the exhibition will change, allowing visitors to become acquainted with the maximum number of works from the museum's funds. Among the curious elements is an interactive installation with a fund card index that turns the viewer into a researcher: one can find a card for any exhibit and learn its history, authorship, and exhibition path. A separate part of the exhibition is dedicated to graphics - from watercolors by Pyotr Sokolov and Alexander Bryullov to works by Léon Bakst and Natalia Goncharova. Applied art is represented by works from the Imperial Porcelain Factory, French and German manufactories, rare glass, and accessories with bead embroidery. Furniture from the Nicholas era, gilded bronze, clocks, and lamps will help convey the atmosphere of a noble dwelling. Find other exhibitions in Moscow on KUDAGO.
