The exhibition project is dedicated to the evolution of jewelry in Russia from the late 17th to the early 20th century. Through forms, materials, and decorative techniques, it shows how fashion, taste, and ideas of beauty have changed. The exhibition brings together a significant part of the jewelry collection and reveals it for the first time as an independent artistic and historical narrative. The items on display allow for tracing the path of jewelry in Russian culture over several centuries-from baroque opulence to refined solutions at the turn of the century. Jewelry has always played an important role in shaping costume and the visual image of a person. Following fashion trends, they became markers of social status and refined taste. The desire to meet the demands of clients forced artisans to constantly seek new artistic forms, improve metalworking technologies, and experiment with stone cutting. The exhibition features earrings, rings, brooches, bracelets, necklaces, pendants, tiaras, and combs, demonstrating the expansion of the expressive possibilities of jewelry art. Special attention is given to thematic jewelry-items with cameos and mosaics, as well as works with turquoise, rock crystal, garnets, and corals.
