The topic of healing rarely seems comfortable for conversation: it carries too much fear, expectation, pain, and fatigue. Artists translate this experience into the language of images and show how bodily and caring experiences can become material for honest art. Anna and Alexander Messerer refer to the story of their beloved dog Volchik: his illness becomes an opportunity for portraits where anxiety is softened by attention. Anastasia Kainianung works with the theme of migraines and turns to the image of Athena, born from the head of Zeus. Pavel Borkunov introduces the figure of a nurse - an image of quiet kindness and selflessness. Natalia Vasilieva recalls her time in the hospital with her young daughter through sketches that later turned into a series of linocuts. The seriousness of the topic is balanced by irony. Caricatures by Temur Kozaev, colorful graphics by Victoria Baigulova about a healing cat, and a series by Olga Kukina about therapeutic mud add liveliness to the narrative.
