Small faience figures by Irina Chernova come together to form an intimate chronicle of human emotions and everyday observations. About 90 compositions connect biblical themes, family portraits, everyday episodes, and poetic images. Most sculptures fit in the palm of your hand: their height is approximately 15-25 centimeters. Some works are visible from the inner courtyard through panoramic windows, while others are gathered in the hall, creating a series of independent scenes. Irina Chernova works with faience, using matte and glossy glazes. Some figures appear soft and homey, while others acquire a solemn tone. Instead of a single narrative line, the artist juxtaposes conversations of loved ones, portrait observations, everyday episodes, and motifs related to the Bible and poetry. The sculptor maintains a recognizable style regardless of the theme. In her characters, gesture, mood, and inner dignity are important.
