The exhibition reveals the fate of the artist through painting, archives, and personal stories. A portrait of the master gradually emerges before the viewer, whose legacy remained in the shadows for a long time and has found new life. The project is structured as a journey along the life path of Konstantin Gorbatov - from his early years in the provinces to his last days in Berlin. Along with the biography, the fate of his works is revealed, having experienced separation from their homeland, oblivion, and return. The exhibition combines paintings, graphics, letters, photographs, and archival materials. They help to see how the style was formed and which themes became key. An important line runs through the works - the desire to preserve the image of beauty despite the dramatic circumstances of life. Special attention is paid to the research component of the project. During the preparation, documents were studied that allowed for the clarification of certain episodes of the biography. These findings become part of the narrative and help to understand the artist's personality more deeply. The exhibition space includes scenographic elements referring to Gorbatov's last place of residence. Find other events in Moscow on KUDAGO.
