The exhibition features paintings, wax objects, and scents as ways to preserve the feeling of celebration. Alyona Kovalli explores the state between joy and emptiness, referring to the image of a cake and the traces of its disappearance. The remnants of dessert are not trash. They are memories. Alyona Kovalli transforms crumbs and uneven cuts into images. The canvases repeat frames from life: smeared cream, exposed layers of filling, eaten edges. The surface of the painting is thick, soft, and airy. It contains a residual feeling, when the celebration has already passed, but the joy has not yet left. Each fragment is like a reflection of fragile euphoria. The illusion of abundance is replaced by the reality of an empty plate. And then the question arises: how to preserve the feeling of fullness when the feast is over? The series of paintings is complemented by wax objects. Their shape echoes festive sweetness. The texture resembles cream or whipped butter. But inside, there is the aroma of smoke, caramel, berries, and praline. The sculptures were created with the participation of the S P Candle studio.
