Artist Alexander Florensky presents a series of still lifes built on the artist's personal "palette of objects." The items and inscriptions create an ironic and deliberately indecipherable visual narrative. In the artist's studio, there is a small shelf with several dozen objects that serve as the basis for the still lifes. This collection has been formed over many years and resembles what Matisse called a "palette of objects" - an accurate and concise definition. Some items have accompanied the author since childhood, others were found in antique shops and flea markets in Russia, Georgia, and Italy, while some appeared completely by chance. The addition to this collection occurs very rarely - no more than once or twice a year. The selection is governed by a strict, albeit inexplicable internal rule: the artist cannot always articulate why a particular object attracts him. Some items remain outside the pictorial compositions, existing as an independent source of pleasure and the possibility to imagine future works. The inscriptions play a special role in the series. In some cases, they are already present on the objects themselves, in others - added by the author directly on the canvas. These explanations are intentionally absurd, executed in the spirit of obvious and meaningless clarifications and carry no substantive weight. All the presented still lifes were created in November and December 2025. Until now, they have not been exhibited or shown to the public.
