The exhibition will present over 100 works by the outstanding graphic artist Mstislav Dobuzhinsky, a participant in the "World of Art" association. The exhibition is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Dobuzhinsky's birth. It features works that reflect the artist's original style, broad interests, and unique artistic worldview. Visitors will see a substantial body of the artist's work, including easel paintings and book illustrations that are being exhibited for the first time. The exhibition covers the period from the 1900s to the 1940s and includes paintings and graphics. For example, works depicting Vitebsk, Bruges, Naples, and rare pieces from the 1920s featuring views of Petersburg and Amsterdam are presented. There are also theatrical decorations from various years created by Dobuzhinsky for productions at the Moscow Art Theatre and beyond. Among the masterpieces of book graphics are sketches for illustrations to Yuri Olesha's children's novel "Three Fat Men." All works in the exhibition are collected from private collections.
