Ekaterina Kovaleva transforms a physical term into a conversation about inner support, material memory, and balance. The exhibition revolves around the question of what remains unchanged when everything around accelerates. Ekaterina Kovaleva works with materials that seem to argue with each other: marble and granite carry a sense of density and centuries of accumulated time, bronze and metal add rigidity, while parachute silk responds to them with almost weightless movement. In this juxtaposition, the main intrigue of the project is born - how to see stability where the eye expects change, and to feel movement in what seems motionless. The exhibition also features graphic sheets from the "Basis" series of the 1990s and the new "Mass of Rest" series. The project reads as a dialogue of different periods of the artist's practice: early works provide a foundation, while fresh pieces develop reflections on weight, form, and hidden energy.
