The exhibition transports visitors to the space of a communal apartment, where everyday objects become witnesses to significant changes. Through the stories of different residents and the personal experiences of Marina Tsvetaeva, the life of the early Soviet decades is revealed. At the center of the narrative is one apartment, where the fates of people from various professions and characters intersected. When the former spacious apartments were divided into rooms for several families, a new way of life emerged here, characterized by closeness and endless conversations about rules. Photographs and furnishings help to imagine how the space was shared and how the feeling of home changed, in which the Tsvetaeva Museum is located today. In the showcases, personal letters, official forms, propaganda leaflets, and newspaper clippings coexist, allowing one to see how the language of the era changed and what topics resonated in everyday news. Authentic items-from kitchenware to wardrobe details-bring back a sense of presence and allow for a closer examination of the past from an outstretched hand's distance.
