The project speaks about the fragility of a person in a world where the image increasingly begins to live separately from its source. The theatrical experience of artist Nikita Pirumov is felt from the very first steps: the exhibition unfolds like a performance without actors, where each canvas is an element of the scenery. The space resembles a backstage area, where it is still unclear whether the action is beginning or ending. The images come together in a conditional performance, and the person in it turns out to be both the hero and the decoration, and the prop. At the center of the statement is the body in a state of change. The artist is interested in transitional situations when familiar forms lose stability, and the physical shell begins to be perceived as a temporary construction. Characters are born from randomly found images and encounters, but gradually detach from their sources. They change roles, move within the conditional plot, and collide with each other as fragments of different performances. Through these images, the project reflects on the influence of historical processes, the digital environment, and control over the body. KUDAGO knows what to see in St. Petersburg.
