The exhibition is dedicated to the man who transformed the imperial capital into a cohesive architectural gesture. Through drawings, sketches of interiors, household items, and graphics, the biography of the master unfolds before our eyes - from his first steps in Pavlovsk to the grand ensembles in the city center. The first halls introduce the young architect who came from Italy and found himself in the court's circle. Here, projects of pavilions and palace interiors, sheets with plans for country residences, drawings of furniture and lighting fixtures are collected. From them, one can see how his handwriting is formed: thoughtful symmetry, strict rhythm of columns, attention to every line - from the facade to the smallest detail in the decor. Further, the exhibition shows how private commissions and provincial projects grow into the scale of the city. Projects of houses, park buildings, and pavilions coexist with drawings of ensembles that change the face of the capital. Squares, streets, and palaces appear on the sheets, connected into a single system where architecture simultaneously addresses both representative and everyday tasks. In a separate section, materials about the creation of famous urban ensembles, decorative sets for palaces, the architect's collaboration with a glass factory, and his work on mourning decorations for the farewell to the emperor are presented. The final halls complement the story with landscape graphics of the 19th century and documents about the last years of the master, so that architectural plans are read not only as drawings but also as a diary of the life of a person whose ideas still shape the grand silhouette of the city.
